*NEW* Rating system involving East Asian emoticons pilfered from the Wikipedia entry on “Emoticon”:

<(^_^)>  = good
⊂( ゚ヮ゚)⊃ = good
(*_*) = what-the-fuck good
(-_-;) = shameful

I ate at these places:

Pok Pok (*_*)
Park Kitchen ⊂( ゚ヮ゚)⊃
Stumptown ⊂( ゚ヮ゚)⊃
Country Cat ⊂( ゚ヮ゚)⊃
Voodoo Doughnuts <(^_^)>
Clyde Common ⊂( ゚ヮ゚)⊃
Stumptown ⊂( ゚ヮ゚)⊃
Stumptown ⊂( ゚ヮ゚)⊃
Kenny & Zuke’s <(^_^)>
and Burgerville <(^_^)>
and Anzen(?) Japanese market across from the Convention Center <(^_^)>
and Subway (-_-;)
and the Holiday Gift and Food Fair that shared the Convention Center with Wordstock (-_-;) (Reminder update thanks to Jordan)

I missed:

Beast (-_-;)

Pok Pok retains it’s not-at-all-coveted spot among my top five restaurants in the country. Those dudes are doing ridiculous, incredible things, and exemplify what I like about Portland eating: Clear visions and uncompromising people dedicated to those visions. In other words, guinea hen that is off the hinges.

That’s it. I didn’t take many photos worth sharing, except the above one of postprandial Pete, just outside Voodoo.

Okay, and this one:
